Moritz Dörstelmann is Managing Partner of FibRwww.fibr.tech ), a specialist company for computational design and robotic fabrication of bespoke filament structures and guest researcher at the Technical University of Munich. He started his architectural studies at RWTH Aachen University and graduated with distinction from the master class of Zaha Hadid and Patrik Schumacher at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Moritz Dörstelmann developed integrated design and fabrication methods for novel fiber composites structures, establishing inseparable links between performativity and material self-expression. During his six years of teaching and research at the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD) at the University of Stuttgart he realized a series of research demonstrator buildings, which showcase the architectural potential of novel fiber composite lightweight structures and their simultaneous building cultural and technological advancements.

Moritz Dörstelmann‘s academic and practical work utilizes technology as design driver, enabling the exploration of a novel design and construction repertoire. His work is published and exhibited internationally. He lectures and teaches at various international institutions.
